A note From john ...

In November 2008, I experienced a heart attack, which led to my hospitalization and subsequent return home with cardiac hardware and medications. These medications comprised a handful for the morning and another for the night, deemed absolutely essential for my well-being. Prior to this, my experience with medication was limited to short-term and over-the-counter options.

Recognizing the need for effective medication management, I searched for products that aligned with my criteria: simple, safe, and secure. Unable to find a suitable solution, I contemplated the features I desired in such a product. Over the following eight years, my brother David Williamson and I discussed the realization of my ideal medication management system.

As we explored various aspects of product ideation, I jumped into research, focusing on patents and procedures relevant to our invention. Concurrently, we investigated product development strategies and identified potential consumer demographics. It became evident that our creation surpassed the concept of a mere pill organizer; it evolved into a sophisticated medical device and method, leading to the patent's title: "Apparatus and Method for Dispensing Pharmaceuticals and Other Medications."

Along the way, I shared my vision with my nephew, Rob, during family gatherings. His interest proved invaluable, considering David’s and my engineering backgrounds. Rob's expertise aligned with the CEO role we envisioned, although the uncertainty of patent approval meant his involvement remained unknown at first even with his support and interest in our work.

David and I continued refining the patent with our Patent Agent. In 2016, we submitted the utility patent application, culminating in the issuance of patent number 10,940,093 by the US Patent and Trademark Office on March 9, 2021, credited to David and me.
